  22. For $100 DeluxePaint 4 remains a very useful 2D program. Need a quick 16 color
  23. map? Need a sequential image map for flames or something? You can whip things
  24. like these out of Dpaint in a few seconds. DPaint even saves anim frames out
  25. in Lightwave naming style (Pic001,Pic002, Pic003,). :)

  27. Dpaints limited colors (oh it'll do HAM and HAM8 but avoid them) even
  28. encourages keeping bit-planes low and thus saving memory.

  30. Cel or "anime" (as the poster mentioned) art uses flat colors with very
  31. limited range (I recall the people who made AKIRA boasting about using
  32. over 200 colors...) just what Dpaint does very well...
